1. Information We Collect
- Device and usage data (app version, device type, general location region, pages/features used) via analytics tools.
- Contact information you provide voluntarily — e.g., email if you contact support, request the concierge service, or subscribe to updates.
- Payment information for purchases made ON the Platform (itineraries, reservation access, concierge service), processed by our payment processor “Stripe”. We do not store full card numbers.
- Approximate location (if permission granted), to show island-relevant content.
- Inputs you provide to the AI “Build My Itinerary” feature.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect or Control
We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal or payment data you provide directly to FareHarbor or any tour operator, ferry company, restaurant platform (Resy/OpenTable), or other third party after you leave the Platform via a link. That data is collected and controlled solely by that third party under their own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
- To process purchases and deliver paid content made directly on the Platform.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support for Platform purchases only.
- To generate AI-assisted itinerary suggestions from content already published in the app.
4. Sharing With Third Parties
- Payment processors, to complete transactions made on the Platform.
- Analytics providers, to understand aggregate Platform usage.
- FareHarbor and participating tour operators receive only the information you choose to submit directly to them when you click through to book — we do not transmit your Platform data to them, and once you’re on their site, they are the data controller, not us.
- We never sell personal information.
5. Cookies & Tracking
See the separate Cookie Policy for full details. The 508 Island Concierge is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — even when installed to your home screen, it runs on standard web cookies and browser storage, not a separate native-app SDK.
6. Data Retention & Security
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and this Privacy Policy applies only to data collected directly by us on the Platform.
7. Your Rights
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about you.
- For data held by FareHarbor, a tour operator, a ferry company, or any other third party, you must contact that party directly — we cannot access, correct, or delete it on your behalf.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will update the effective date above.
